NUMBER ONE REASON WHY AFTER HEARING MOTIVATIONAL WORDS WE REMAIN STUCK ON OUR COUCH!

Why?
Why only one hour after hearing a motivational speaker we are not motivated any more?
Does this happen to you? Does it happen every time?
While they are there, talking to us, everything is great; we seem to understand and we grab the concept.
We are feeling motivated, we reach new heights, our spirit soars, we are inspired.
But a short time later… Poof! All those feelings vanish without us even noticing how or when.

Well don’t worry, you are not alone in this one. This "enigma" puzzled me for a long time, until I found out the answers. How could I understand and be moved by all those words of advice and yet not know what to do afterwards?! How could I listen to motivator after motivator and not be achieving any results?

An army of motivators can talk to you and your brain says: "yes, yes, that’s great - now what?!"
I realized that motivation has to come from within. It has to come from you, from your own inner voice.

Motivational speakers can make you jump up to the sky, but when you fall to earth, you fall into the same place you where before. "We are still in Kansas Toto".

It is not fair, but that’s the way it is for most people.

I am not saying that motivational speakers are not good or worthwhile to hear. The other way around. Long live the motivational speakers! See, it is not about them, ultimately it is about us. Where does our energy go when they are gone? Where has our enthusiasm gone?

I believe in building from inside out. I believe we need to develop first, before taking action, a sense of who we are, and what we want. Otherwise those words will not work. You will remain frozen; watch it, this may last a lifetime. So, why when we hear those motivational words that are logical, which make a lot of sense, they don’t get you moving for long?

Well, it may be that what you need right now is to find out exactly who you are, and exactly what suits you. We all need to develop an understanding of who we are first, whatever it involves, and everything else comes afterwards.
This is not something that everyone knows. The other way around, a majority of people have no clue of who they really are, and thus have no clue of what they really want, and needless to say, about what they need. And tell you what, it is no easy task, it takes time. But, isn’t it worth the time and the effort?

Remember. You cannot assess your needs if you do not know who you are and where you are going.

Hence you cannot get yourself moving.
Moving towards what?

You do not want or need to be like most people. Learn to know yourself first, and then set yourself to accomplish your own unique self success.

Motivation comes from within and from the knowledge of ourselves; develop that knowledge or you will remain stuck on your couch for life.

NUMBER ONE FACTOR WHICH WILL INTERFERE WITH YOUR ASPIRATIONS

How many times do we find ourselves trapped in our day as it develops hopelessly in front of our eyes. We find ourselves running here and there. Day after day. Tangled in what we "need" to do.

Do you end your day feeling exhausted and not quite accomplished?
Does this happen even after hearing all those motivational speakers?
If not even Tony Robbins can get you moving, then keep reading.

All the enthusiasm from those motivational words can and probably will be dashed by some typical problems, which may assault us immediately afterwards. These are the same old problems, part of our daily routine: We have to take the kids to school, or have to solve yet another problem at work, fix the car, or go to that appointment with the doctor.

The number one factor that interferes with most people’s aspirations is their own life. The routine.

Any of these things which represent our daily responsibilities and worries, take on priority and make us forget not only those motivational words but also our own aspirations.

Our regular activities will take us out of that ideal motivated and enthusiastic state.

Meanwhile we let all these things interfere with what we really want to accomplish; we will keep forgetting. We need to accommodate in our lives those things that we wish to accomplish. We can be a good mother and still make room for our aspirations.

We remain tangled into our own thoughts and disorganized approach to life. We may think that we have our lives organized because we do things on time. We arrive on time for work, we are good at meeting clients on time, we never fail to get our kids to school with time for a kiss goodbye. Great, and your goals, are you meeting them on time?

Ask yourself:
Is it possible that you are living an agitated life without direction?
Is it possible you are bewildered by your own turmoil of daily tasks?
Do you know where this is taking you?

Do you know where you are going?
Versus where we want to go…?

Then you may be doing something wrong.

We need to develop our life around the success we want to obtain and not the other way around. If our lives develop without us taking control of it, frustration will take over sooner or later.
Ask yourself, do you want to be a frustrated person?
Frustration comes together with a lot of "baggage".
Do you want to be one of those people, with a lot of "baggage"?

Then you need to do something with your life.

Mold your life around your goal.

You don’t know your goals? Well, then you need to take one step back, you need to learn who you are, find out what you want, and then set your goals... Sounds easy right…? I know it is not that easy in real life, and mainly if you are busily tangled in your everyday life. I didn’t say success will come to you without efforts. It will take some dedication, patience and time. But it will be fun and worth it.

Don’t get frustrated without even starting.

Mold you life around your unique self success.

IDENTIFYING THE RIGHT ADVICE FOR YOU

A lot of gurus and coaches out there are sending the message that they are " the only one who can help you", and all the others are wrong. They say all the others are trying to benefit from you, but they don’t, they are the only ones who really want to help you, etc, etc, etc.

This way of talking is deceiving. Don’t get me wrong, there are people out there with very aggressive marketing campaigns, selling their products with very little real help to offer. But we cannot put everyone in the same bag. Some self-improvement sites are of great help. And some come from the heart, and offer sincere advice.

I am not going to say my site is good, or my site is bad; that is for you to decide. You are the only one who can tell if something is helpful or not. If it is what you particularly want or need, or not. I can only offer what I have to give and it is for you to decide if you need and can use the specific help that I offer.

The truth is that when you are looking for help, only you know what helps you, what suits you, what makes you tick and what does not stick to you.

You want to focus in finding the right person or help for you. The one that speaks to you. It may be the best piece of advice but if we do not understand it, what good can it do?
You may know a lot already and need just a small push, or you may be just starting and eager to learn all there is out there.
You may be fast at understanding a long complicated piece of information. Or you may be like most people, and need a little more explanation, a little more dedicated attention.

What I am trying to say here is that no matter the kind of help that is being offered out there, some will be beneficial to you and some not.
Some may be very interesting and fulfilling for certain people, while for others it may be confusing and entangling, which can potentially even make matters worse.
No one can speak to everyone; it is impossible. The same way we do not understand just anyone or everyone. But some will make a profound impact in our lives, or at least one that is sufficiently deep enough. Enough is a good word; it is just what everyone needs. Enough help to succeed; just that amount, no more, that will make it.

Let’s look for advice, in all areas of our lives. When we find what we need at the time, we should go for it, because it is our chance for improvement.

There is a very important factor that we should consider; the time factor. Don’t delay your progress. Do not delay your progress by all means.
Did you hear of time management? Well, I do not want to get into long and boring explanations here. The point is the more you delay a decision, or the more you delay taking action on what we have already decided, the more we delay our progress.
How many times do we delay our decision to get help? How many times we delay implementing good advice? And how many times do we realize with regret that we should have already taken action on a certain matter. But it is not too late, it never is. It is not too late, but it could have been done earlier, couldn’t it….?
We could already be somewhere else farther advanced into our own improvement path, into our own unique success.

And for your own progress, once you identify that something is of help to you, take action. Do not delay your progress!

Remember, every time you delay taking a decision you are delaying you. Your own unique progress.

Take the advice or not, it is up to you too.

IDENTIFY YOUR OWN LEARNING PROCESS TO SUCCEED

The learning process is different for every one of us. Some like exhaustive explanations, others like it short and sweet, others like to hear the naked truth right in their faces, some like to hear examples or testimony, others just need a logical and down to earth explanation. You name it.

People also have their own pace for learning. Some are faster, others are slower. Some are fast but never finish anything. Some are slow but sure and steady. Some have determination to get to the end and some not.

We all have different needs for help and ways of understanding.
Some can stay still, while some need to move, and tell you, I have seen them all. Though I am always ready to be surprised.

Think, how do you learn? What do you need to get your brain engaged?
What is your style?
What kind of process works for you or not?

Know that there is no right or wrong. Any approach you take to learning is the right approach. Allow yourself to be slow if that is the case, because some of us need more time to process the information. Allow yourself to jump and dance if that helps you.

Do not give up on what you want. And do not pay attention to those who accuse you of being too "slow", or too logical, or too much of anything they may accuse you of. The most important thing is to get to the finish line and to completion.
